Dear 3rd Grade Families, We have been receiving some adorable donations that those children less fortunate than our own will appreciate and love! Thank you! In case you missed it: We are gearing up for a season of giving! Schoolwide, we have several opportunities to give that will come to you in an email from our amazing administration who have worked to coordinate all of our efforts. Notably, there will be a pajama drive organized by NJHS, toiletries and pop-tops for Ronald McDonald House, and more personal gifts can be selected from the Camelot Giving Tree. Third graders are getting in the spirit as well! We are going to be collecting stuffed animals to help comfort children while they are in hospitals or other difficult situations. We will donate traditional teddy bears to the Rough Riders Teddy Bear Roundup and all other types of stuffed animals to Shriners Hospitals. (These will also decorate our trees until they are turned over to their forever homes.) If you want to learn about these organizations please follow the links below. http://wfla.com/2015/11/27/tampa-bay-rough-riders-teddy-bear-roundup-begins/ http://www.shrinershospitalsforchildren.org/care Thank you to our Fun Friday parents! In writing the students have completed their first opinion essay and will be starting another to give them further practice. For homework, the students will have 2 reading logs and 3 spelling activities. There will be no social studies homework this week. All of the monthly spelling activities are on the website for those students that would rather complete spelling homework on paper. Please help students out by checking over their work for completion when you sign off on the Parent Signature box. Thank you for your help with this-you are appreciated!
